I paint to create a mood and capture a sense of atmosphere.
I love bold color, shapes and textures and work in watercolor, acrylic and also watermedia collage, finding ways to incorporate shapes and texture in my paintings. A "successful painting" is one in which the mood resonates with the viewer!
Creating art has always been a passion for me and over the last ten years I have been painting full time, while studying design and technique intensively with locally and nationally recognized artist-teachers.
I exhibit regularly with several Bay Area art organizations and have had my work accepted in several juried art shows. I have also received several awards over the years.
